ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and configure controls systems, including PLCs to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and to develop innovative solutions to meet those needs.
- Develop control strategies and algorithms to ensure efficient and reliable operation of equipment and systems.
- Collaborate with equipment vendors and suppliers to integrate their systems into the overall control architecture.
- Project management of equipment installations, facility rearrangement, energy savings projects and safety improvements.
- Conduct system testing and validation to ensure adherence to design specifications and performance requirements.
- Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance teams for effective utilization of control systems.
QUALIFICATIONS: Experience, Competencies and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, automation engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in controls and automation engineering, preferably in manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of control systems and automation technologies.
- Experience with designing and implementing control strategies and algorithms for complex manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in control systems, such as ladder logic, structured text, or function block diagram.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
