Requirements / Key Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate and/or establish MRO supplier relationships to achieve the best value
- Purchase supply stockroom items
- Purchase equipment and machinery
- Purchase parts, tools, and consumables (recurring services)
- Prepare and process purchase orders and approve invoices for payment
- Implement and maintain service contracts
- Cost savings initiatives
- Develop and maintain purchasing policies and procedures
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Revise and maintain adequate reorder points for stockroom items
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Work with others in a collaborative fashion
- Professional written and verbal communication
QUALIFICATIONS: Experience, Competencies and Education
- BS degree, or combination of college and equivalent experience required
- Minimum one year of purchasing experience
- MRP knowledge required
- Strong computer skills
